This is because the symptoms for this type of infection are red patches and dryness, which are very similar to those ofarmpit rashes, product irritation, and even eczema. So how can you tell if you have an armpit infection, or if you simply have a rash?

Well, the first indicator is itchiness. Does the red patch or rash on your underarm area itch or feel sore to the touch? If its either, that is your first indication of a yeast infection. You should also try to look at the patch of red skin in your armpit if you have a yeast infection, you will find a red plaque right in the fold as well as little, tiny red dots in the surrounding area. Finally, look for white flakes, scaling, and cracks on the skin.

If youre still unsure, definitely consult your doctor or dermatologist to rule out any type of fungal infection in the area.

How To Prevent Yeast Infections

There are a number of ways to prevent a yeast infection.

  • Wear cotton underwear. Loose-fitting, cotton underwear is most conducive to a healthy microbiome. Avoid garments that are tight and arent as breathable, as well as things like sweaty workout wear. These clothes can create a humid, damp area, which is the ideal environment for Candida overgrowth. Because of this, it is also important to change out of damp or sweaty clothes, like workout clothes or swimwear, quickly.
  • Avoid hot tubs and scalding hot baths, which foster Candida growth, due to the warm, moist environments.
  • Take probiotics or eat yogurt with probiotics since they help balance the vaginal microflora. As well as treatment for yeast infections, probiotics are helpful in the prevention of yeast infections. The best probiotic to take will be with those containing the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 bacteria.
  • Avoid behaviors that may lead to yeast infections, such as poor hygiene. When performing personal hygiene practices, avoid douching, scented vaginal washes or scented lotions, as well as perfumed sanitary products near the genitals, which can throw off the balance of the vaginas microflora.

    How To Use Crystal Deodorant

Crystal deodorant is available as a stone, roll-on, or spray. Sometimes you can find it as a gel or powder. If you use a stone, it may come on its own or attached to a plastic base.

The best time to apply the deodorant is right after you shower or bathe, when your underarms are freshly cleaned and still slightly damp. You can apply it to other body parts as well, but you may wish to have a separate stone for this.

Run the stone under water and then apply it to clean underarms. Make sure you dont use too much water. If youre using a stone thats attached to a plastic applicator, make sure the water doesnt go into the base. You can store the stone upside down after use to prevent this from happening.

You can rub it up and down or use a circular motion. Continue adding water to the stone and applying it until you feel youve covered your entire underarm.

It should feel smooth as youre applying it. Be careful if your stone is cracked or has any rough edges that might cut or irritate your underarms. Continue to rub until the underarm is dry.

If youre using a spray, you may want to have a towel wrapped around your body that can catch any excess liquid that might run down from your underarm. There may be a slight chalky residue left on your skin after application, so its a good idea to wait until the deodorant dries before getting dressed.
